Will He find faith? - ¿Encontrará fe?

Today, I have been drawn to the book of Hebrews 4:1-2 "Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed."

Since Hebrews 4:1, begins with therefore, I went back to read what Hebrews 3:7-8, 12-14 states: "So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts..."

See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end."

In short, Hebrews 4:1-2 is talking about sitting in churches to hear time and time again the good news of salvation. We hear about coming closer to God, drawing near Him, and, leading a straight walk. However, it goes on to say that the message was of "no value" to those who did not believe it. 

Then Hebrews 3:7, 12-14 warns against hardening our hearts to God, which is built by unbelief. Instead, this message reminds us to encourage one another daily, while we still have a TODAY. Finally, it ends up with "We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end."  Yes! We receive all the goodness and the fullness of the Father when we are holding on to our first love! So think about those things you did for the Lord, or how you behaved when you first opened your heart to Him. We must walk daily in the faith, standing strong with our hearts engraved with deep love towards Him. As a result, I have been meditating on Luke 18:8, "However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” 

In context, Luke 18:8 is taken from a parable that Jesus shared with His disciples about a persistent widow. Scripture goes on to point out that in the town where the widow lived, there was a judge who did not fear God, or have any respect to any man. So, if you can imagine, a person in authority over a people like that, could cause much harm. However, this widow would consistently go to the judge and request that he grant her justice against the adversary. While it took some time for the judge to agree to her appeal, he gave in. Then Jesus tells the disciples in Luke 18:7-8 “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

To think that Jesus would ask this, breaks my heart! It does because no doubt He knew all along that we can grow cold and full of unbelief. He knew all along that He would have to take the place on the cross for us, even though we could easily stop living in His faith! By stopping, means praying no more. It means succumbing to the daily distractions that we have. Life is what we call it - what we do daily. When we think of why he said it, we can quickly check our hearts to discern if there is any area where we have stopped believing the Lord. If that is so, we must ask the Holy Spirit to help us with any unbelief, which is a hardened heart. 

There are many things that cause a heart to harden for the Lord. However, when you ask the Holy Spirit to show you areas in your life that have been cold and believe no more, He will reveal. So just ask. Go back to your original conviction in the Lord, to your first love. So when Jesus comes, let us be found BELIEVING!

Hoy, me he despertado para leer Hebreos 4:1-2 Cuidémonos, por tanto, no sea que, aunque la promesa de entrar en su reposo sigue vigente, alguno de ustedes parezca quedarse atrás. 2 Porque a nosotros, lo mismo que a ellos, se nos ha anunciado la buena noticia; pero el mensaje que escucharon no les sirvió de nada, porque no se unieron en la fe a los que habían prestado atención a ese mensaje.

Hebrews 4:1, dice 'por tanto," así que leí lo que dice Hebreos 3:7, 12-14 "Por eso, como dice el Espíritu Santo:«Si ustedes oyen hoy su voz, cuídense, hermanos, de que ninguno de ustedes tenga un corazón pecaminoso e incrédulo que los haga apartarse del Dios vivo. Más bien, mientras dure ese «hoy», anímense unos a otros cada día, para que ninguno de ustedes se endurezca por el engaño del pecado. Hemos llegado a tener parte con Cristo, con tal que retengamos firme hasta el fin la confianza que tuvimos al principio."

En corto, Hebreos 4:1-2 habla de constantemente estar sentados, puede ser en una iglesia, y con frecuencia escuchar el mensaje de las buenas nuevas de salvación. Escuchamos acerca de acercarnos a Dios, y vivir una vida recta. Sin embargo, ese mensaje puede no "servir de nada" si al final no tenemos fe. 

Hebreos 3:7, 12-14 nos advierte a no endurecer nuestros corazones a Dios, y el endurecimiento de corazón es producto de la falta de fe.  Este mensaje nos recuerda que debemos animarnos los unos a los otros a diario, mientras todavía tenemos un HOY. Finalmente, termina diciendo que "Hemos llegado a tener parte con Cristo, con tal que retengamos firme hasta el fin la confianza que tuvimos al principio." ¡Sí! ¡Recibimos toda la plenitud y la bondad del Padre cuando permanecemos en nuestro primer amor! Piensa en aquellas cosas que hiciste para el Señor, o como te conducías cuando recién abriste tu corazón a El. Debemos caminar a diario en la fe, permaneciendo fuertes en nuestro corazón, con amor profundo hacia El. Como resultado, he estado meditando en Lucas 18:8,  "Les digo que sí les hará justicia, y sin demora. No obstante, cuando venga el Hijo del hombre, ¿encontrará fe en la tierra?»

En contexto, Lucas 18:8 es tomado de una parábola que Jesus compartió con sus discípulos acerca de una viuda persistente. La escritura muestra  que en el pueblo donde estaba la viuda, había un juez que no temía a Dios, ni tenía respeto por ningún hombre. Si te lo puedes imaginar, una persona en autoridad sobre un pueblo con esa condición, podía causar mucho daño. Sin embargo, la viuda persistía y solicitaba al juez que le otorgara justicia contra su adversario. Mientras le tomó algo de tiempo, el juez terminó haciendo lo que la viuda pidió.  Luego en Lucas 18:7-8 , Jesus dice: "¿Acaso Dios no hará justicia a sus escogidos, que claman a él día y noche? ¿Se tardará mucho en responderles?  Les digo que sí les hará justicia, y sin demora. No obstante, cuando venga el Hijo del hombre, ¿encontrará fe en la tierra?»

¡Pensar que Jesus preguntaría esto, rompe mi corazón! Me causa dolor porque sin duda El sabía que íbamos a caer en el endurecimiento de corazón, faltos de fe. El sabía que iba a tomar el lugar en la cruz para nosotros, aunque facilmente podríamos dejar de vivir en Su fe! Esto significa no orar más. Significa sucumbir a las distracciones que a diario tenemos. Nuestra 'vida' es como comunmente le llamamos. Cuando pensamos en porque lo dijo, rápidamente podemos revisar nuestros corazones para discernir si hay alguna área en donde hemos dejado de creer a Dios. Si tal es el caso, pidamos al Espíritu Santo que nos ayude con la falta de fe, lo cual es un corazón endurecido.  

Hay muchas cosas que causan que un corazón se endurezca para el Señor. Sin embargo, cuando le pidas al Espíritu Santo que te muestre las áreas en tu vida donde estas frío y sin fe, El te lo va a revelar. Así que pídele. Regresa a tu convicción original en el Señor, a tu primer amor. Cuando vuelva Jesus, nos encuentre CREYENDO!
